Luke 22

8(c,d) Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.

Πορευθέντες ἑτοιμάσατε ἡμῖν τὸ πάσχα, ἵνα φάγωμεν.

10(b-f) Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.

Ἰδού, εἰσελθόντων ὑμῶν εἰς τὴν πόλιν, συναντήσει ὑμῖν ἄνθρωπος κεράμιον ὕδατος βαστάζων· ἀκολουθήσατε αὐτῷ εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν οὗ εἰσπορεύεται.

11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

καὶ ἐρεῖτε τῷ οἰκοδεσπότῃ τῆς οἰκίας, Λέγει σοι ὁ διδάσκαλος, Ποῦ ἐστι τὸ κατάλυμα, ὅπου τὸ πάσχα μετὰ τῶν μαθητῶν μου φάγω;

12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.

κἀκεῖνος ὑμῖν δείξει ἀνώγεον μέγα ἐστρωμένον· ἐκεῖ ἑτοιμάσατε.

15(b) With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:

Ἐπιθυμίᾳ ἐπεθύμησα τοῦτο τὸ πάσχα φαγεῖν μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν πρὸ τοῦ με παθεῖν·

16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐκέτι οὐ μὴ φάγω ἐξ αὐτοῦ, ἕως ὅτου πληρωθῇ ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τοῦ Θεοῦ.

17(d,e) Take this, and divide it among yourselves:

Λάβετε τοῦτο, καὶ διαμερίσατε ἑαυτοῖς·

18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.

λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐ μὴ πίω ἀπὸ τοῦ γεννήματος τῆς ἀμπέλου, ἕως ὅτου ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ Θεοῦ ἔλθῃ.

19(f,g) This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

Τοῦτό ἐστι τὸ σῶμά μου, τὸ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν διδόμενον· τοῦτο ποιεῖτε εἰς τὴν ἐμὴν ἀνάμνησιν.

20(c,d) This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

Τοῦτο τὸ ποτήριον ἡ καινὴ διαθήκη ἐν τῷ αἵματί μου, τὸ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν ἐκχυνόμενον.

21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.

πλὴν ἰδού, ἡ χεὶρ τοῦ παραδιδόντος με μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐπὶ τῆς τραπέζης.

22 And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!

καὶ ὁ μὲν υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου πορεύεται κατὰ τὸ ὡρισμένον· πλὴν οὐαὶ τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ ἐκείνῳ δι᾽ οὗ παραδίδοται.

25(b,c) The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.

Οἱ βασιλεῖς τῶν ἐθνῶν κυριεύουσιν αὐτῶν, καὶ οἱ ἐξουσιάζοντες αὐτῶν εὐεργέται καλοῦνται.

26 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.

ὑμεῖς δὲ οὐχ οὕτως· ἀλλ᾽ ὁ μείζων ἐν ὑμῖν γενέσθω ὡς ὁ νεώτερος· καὶ ὁ ἡγούμενος ὡς ὁ διακονῶν.

27 For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.

τίς γὰρ μείζων, ὁ ἀνακείμενος ἢ ὁ διακονῶν; οὐχὶ ὁ ἀνακείμενος; ἐγὼ δέ εἰμι ἐν μέσῳ ὑμῶν ὡς ὁ διακονῶν.

28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.

ὑμεῖς δέ ἐστε οἱ διαμεμενηκότες μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐν τοῖς πειρασμοῖς μου·

29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;

κἀγὼ διατίθεμαι ὑμῖν, καθὼς διέθετό μοι ὁ πατήρ μου, βασιλείαν,

30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

ἵνα ἐσθίητε καὶ πίνητε ἐπὶ τῆς τραπέζης μου ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ μου, καὶ καθίσησθε ἐπὶ θρόνων, κρίνοντες τὰς δώδεκα φυλὰς τοῦ Ἰσραήλ.

31(b-f) Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

Σίμων, Σίμων, ἰδού, ὁ Σατανᾶς ἐξῃτήσατο ὑμᾶς, τοῦ σινιάσαι ὡς τὸν σῖτον·

32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

ἐγὼ δὲ ἐδεήθην περὶ σοῦ, ἵνα μὴ ἐκλείπῃ ἡ πίστις σου· καὶ σύ ποτε ἐπιστρέψας στήριξον τοὺς ἀδελφούς σου.

34(b-e) I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

Λέγω σοι, Πέτρε, οὐ μὴ φωνήσει σήμερον ἀλέκτωρ, πρὶν ἢ τρὶς ἀπαρνήσῃ μὴ εἰδέναι με.

35(b-e) When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing?

Ὅτε ἀπέστειλα ὑμᾶς ἄτερ βαλαντίου καὶ πήρας καὶ ὑποδημάτων, μή τινος ὑστερήσατε;

36(b-h) But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Ἀλλὰ νῦν ὁ ἔχων βαλάντιον ἀράτω, ὁμοίως καὶ πήραν· καὶ ὁ μὴ ἔχων, πωλησάτω τὸ ἱμάτιον αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἀγορασάτω μάχαιραν.

37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν ὅτι ἔτι τοῦτο τὸ γεγραμμένον δεῖ τελεσθῆναι ἐν ἐμοί, τὸ Καὶ μετὰ ἀνόμων ἐλογίσθη· καὶ γὰρ τὰ περὶ ἐμοῦ τέλος ἔχει.

38(f) It is enough.

Ἱκανόν ἐστι.

40(c) Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

Προσεύχεσθε μὴ εἰσελθεῖν εἰς πειρασμόν.

42(b-g) Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Πάτερ, εἰ βούλει, παρένεγκε τὸ ποτήριον τοῦτο ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ· πλὴν μὴ τὸ θέλημά μου, ἀλλὰ τὸ σὸν γενέσθω.

46(b-d) Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

Τί καθεύδετε; ἀναστάντες προσεύχεσθε, ἵνα μὴ εἰσέλθητε εἰς πειρασμόν.

48(b,c) Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

Ἰούδα, φιλήματι τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου παραδίδως;

51(b) Suffer ye thus far.

Ἐᾶτε ἕως τούτου.

52(e-g) Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?

Ὡς ἐπὶ λῃστὴν ἐξεληλύθατε μετὰ μαχαιρῶν καὶ ξύλων;

53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

καθ᾽ ἡμέραν ὄντος μου μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ, οὐκ ἐξετείνατε τὰς χεῖρας ἐπ᾽ ἐμέ. ἀλλ᾽ αὕτη ὑμῶν ἐστιν ἡ ὥρα, καὶ ἡ ἐξουσία τοῦ σκότους.

61(e,f) Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

ὅτι Πρὶν ἀλέκτορα φωνῆσαι, ἀπαρνήσῃ με τρίς.

67(d,e) If I tell you, ye will not believe:

Ἐὰν ὑμῖν εἴπω, οὐ μὴ πιστεύσητε·

68 And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.

ἐὰν δὲ καὶ ἐρωτήσω, οὐ μὴ ἀποκριθῆτέ μοι, ἢ ἀπολύσητε.

69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.

ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν ἔσται ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου καθήμενος ἐκ δεξιῶν τῆς δυνάμεως τοῦ Θεοῦ.

70(d) Ye say that I am.

Ὑμεῖς λέγετε ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι.
