Fiery Serpent

Jesus compares himself to the brass fiery serpent.

 

"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:"-John 3:14 KJV

 

Which was no actual serpent.

 

"And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live."-Numbers 21:8 KJV

 

But looked like one, as Jesus was also made to look like one, condemned of the world. Now all that look to him are healed (Mark 1:34 KJV).

 

"And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him."
