38(d) What seek ye?
Τί ζητεῖτε;
39(b) Come and see.
Ἔρχεσθε καὶ ἴδετε.
42(d,e) Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas,
Σὺ εἶ Σίμων ὁ υἱὸς Ἰωνᾶ· σὺ κληθήσῃ Κηφᾶς
43(d) Follow me.
Ἀκολούθει μοι.
47(c,d) Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
Ἴδε ἀληθῶς Ἰσραηλίτης, ἐν ᾧ δόλος οὐκ ἔστι.
48(d-f) Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
Πρὸ τοῦ σε Φίλιππον φωνῆσαι, ὄντα ὑπὸ τὴν συκῆν, εἶδόν σε.
50(b-e) Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
Ὅτι εἶπόν σοι, εἶδόν σε ὑποκάτω τῆς συκῆς, πιστεύεις; μείζω τούτων ὄψει.
51(b-f) Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ἀπ᾽ ἄρτι ὄψεσθε τὸν οὐρανὸν ἀνεῳγότα, καὶ τοὺς ἀγγέλους τοῦ Θεοῦ ἀναβαίνοντας καὶ καταβαίνοντας ἐπὶ τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου.
